Cottonwood Campground & Buffalo Gap Campground in ND

Question

We are planning to visit Theodore Roosevelt NP in ND next summer (July timeframe) and want to stay at Cottonwood or at the Buffalo Gap campgrounds which have no services, which is fine. However, neither take reservations so we are concerned about a spot or spots being open for us in mid July.

Anyone use those campgrounds, and if so, any issues getting a spot in July?

I  was there both north and south in Aug.  LOTs of room.  Note the date of the photo.   Posting of TR

Use them both many times year round.  Have never had a problem getting a site.
