Custer State Park

We're headed for Glacier NP the end of August, and thought we might like to stop at Custer for a couple of days. We've never been there before, so I'd like to know which is your favorite campground, and why. It's just the two of us and we enjoy hiking and birding. Thanks for any input.

    Custer State Park's campgrounds are all nice if you can get in. It's a popular place.
    Outside of the park, at the town of Custer, is Ft. Welikit RV park and several others, all pretty nice.
    It's pretty down there, but I have to admit the whole area of Black Hills is pretty.
