Defeated Creek and Salt Lick Campgrounds-Detour

I thought I would post this for anyone traveling to Defeated Creek or Salt Lick Campgrounds in the Middle Tennessee area. Be aware they are working on Highway 25 at Carthage, a rock slide area. You will be detoured via the Turkey Creek Road/263 to Highway 85. I went this route last week.....

    Have taken Turkey Creek Rd to get to the visitor center at the dam several times. Not sure I'd want to go that route with the motorhome. I hope the rockslide is cleared before we head that way in August.

    I was pulling my Puma 25RS...wasn't bad and it wasn't good either. I came back to Smyrna through Hartsville to 231S to Lebanon. It worked for me taking the bypass then to I-40.
