Double towing

What's the consensus of double towing through Georgia and Florida,i'm debating hauling my golf cart down for the coming winter or buying one and leaving it there. The latter would be easier but I just hate spending $3000 sheckles when I have a great cart sitting back home,i understand pulling a trailer behind my fiver is against the law both in Georgia and Florida and I really don't want to break their laws but I see so many other people doing it and unless it's being done in a "hill-billy-engeneered" fashion I really don't see the harm. Any thoughts?
  • I do not approve of double towing but in the states that do you have to have oporating brakes on both trailers. Don't back up and don't get in an wreck.
  • I believe the law is "one on a ball" 5th wheels are not on a ball.
But to get clarification I would call Ga. & Fla SP and ask what the law is.
To the Floridian that know it all: If the Snowbirds stayed home you would go broke. Most commercial operators welcome us with open arms and are tickled that we save some from bankruptcy. It saves their business until the Spring Breakers show up and tear up your businesses. So you can see you need all of us.
  • No, its not a pain in the butt. I have towed double for over 30 years, behind 5th ws and TT.

  • Getting a bit tired of deleting the flaming & troll posts here so this one is closed. In the future lets try to have a bit more respect for others even if we disagree.
