We camp host in both Virginia and Maryland. Virginia has just started accepting applications for camp hosts with no previous Virginia experience. Experienced volunteers get first crack at all spots, then newbies. Tim Hatton at DCR is the person you need to talk to.Email him at: timothy.hatton@dcr.virginia.gov
We also camphost at Point Lookout in Maryland, which is in the Southern Maryland area where the Potomac River runs into the Chesapeake Bay. We thoroughly enjoy it and they are always looking for hosts. You can contact Ranger Jonas Williams there at jonas.williams@maryland.gov .
