The beautiful beach, of course, and the pier. Multi movie theater. Morehead City has all kinds of deep sea fishing. Big area for marlin.

In Cape Carteret just across the bridge on the mainland a few miles from your RV park is the MacDaddyโ€™s entertainment complex. Bowling Alley, goKart track, mini gulf, electronic arcade games, batting cage, etc.

Near there is Cedar Point, a National Forest Service area with a coastal marsh that has a boardwalk over the water and easy hiking trail. Kayaking is popular all around that area.

For golfers, thereโ€™s a large course across the bridge called Star Hill. Swansboro area nearby has Kayaking outfitters, as well as a quaint downtown on the waterfront with shops and restaurants. Highly recommend Yanaโ€™s.

A lot within a short car trip. Thereโ€™s the North Carolina Maritime Museum at Pine Knoll Shoes, with a huge shark tank, river otters, etc. In Morehead City, thereโ€™s Fort Macon, which has costumed interpreters and Civil War era exhibits. Drive to Beaufort, NC for their museum on the waterfront, including lots of pirate exhibits since they discovered Blackbeardโ€™s ship sunk off shore.

Yes. It was a number of years ago and we loved it, both the area and the Trav-L-Park. Be prepared for a right squeeze in the Trav-L-Park-sites are small. They have an arcade and go-kart track which does attract a lot of teens but they are kept under control. That shouldn't be too much of a factor because school is still in session. There is a wildlife refuge not far from there (Cedar Island I think) that has some nice hiking and is a very pretty area. The Bogue fishing pier is very nice as well.

Weโ€™ve stayed numerous times just across the Hwy. 58 bridge at the Cedar Point NFS Campground, and formerly lived nearby. Did you have questions about anything specific?
