I've read several articles and cant find any out for folks boondocking.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bidens-executive-order-mask-wearing-federal-land

Again city folks think everyone lives in an urban cubicle.
One size fits all I guess.
Hopefully the rangers out there have better sense than the DC insiders.

Telling of what? That more people travelling and interacting together increased the spread during the holidays? Was it the new strains that increased the higher spread rate? Final effect of the political rallies, sturgis, unmasked protests, and other spreader events?

After the inauguration new cases are dropping. Effect of lock downs? Effect that most people may now know someone first hand that has died so they are more serious? The effect of less superspreader events? A new leader that actually encourages taking precautions?

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

Just so we are seeing the same thing... new cases Nov 11 145,000 and has not yet dropped below that level.

There is so little confirmed information on both sides that I don't understand how this can be effective argued either way.

Several countries with zero mask mandate have lower infection rates.

The asymptomatic transmission has failed to be proven.

The original two week incubation time has proved to be wrong.

The fact that the numbers changed after the election is very telling.

Heres an effective argument. Wearing a mask MAY save lives..... NOT wearing a mask MAY kill people.

Didn't know there was a hierarchy of protests that needed to be completed in a specific order before you could be considered a valid protester. So what is the official ranking between starving children, homelessness and people being tortured? Seems kind of callous to not be able to protest about starving children if you haven't completed your protests about torture and homelessness.

Where do you think your right to walk around maskless and infect others ranks?. Of all the issues in life this is the one you choose? A slight inconvenience to keep others safe... its sad pathetic and selfish.

I think someone missed the point and the comma after homelessness.

Homey, Newsom is a PERFECT example of a PERFECT politician that moves goal posts to match their (lack of) performance, while proclaiming edicts on his people that are "rules for thee, not for me".

BTW, one difference between CEO's and politicians, is politicians can lie in their press releases with zero legal repercussion; CEO's can be fined and/or imprisoned for making false announcements/press releases.

Same for government officials, LEO's (law enforcement officer), judges, etc. They can make false statements to citizens without penalty, but us citizens can be prosecuted if we make false statements to them.

They can lie, but we can not; hence these most important words: "You have the right to remain silent..."

While Newsom is not a perfect example or perfect individual I give credit for making an effort. He may have 39,000 on his watch but had no help from the federal government fueling protests, withholding the distribution of masks, encouraging behavior that increases the spread, calling it a hoax, suggesting treatments that are deadly, suppressing actual science and medical advice... the list is endless. Newsom had a much more difficult battle for all this from the top of the federal government. Again at least Newson has been making an effort in the right direction.

Do you also expect Newsom to encourage a crowd of protesters to storm the Sacramento capital to overturn the recall?

Nope they believe in freedom no matter how much they spread the deadly virus.
I think the light at the end will be seen by the majority once this comes to vote. Gov will turn out to be the hero, not the reaper.
There is a narrative that the former president was responsible for the 429,000 deaths attributed to COVID. If that your position, than you must take the position that Newsom is responsible for the 39,000 deaths attributed to COVID in California. Perhaps even at a greater level of culpability than the ex-president since the federal government ceded much of the management of COVID to the states (which is why California restrictions and policies were much different than Florida).
Politicians are ridiculously unlikely to admit they were wrong or in the case of COVID, both wrong and relatively powerless. They would much rather double down on a poor decision than change directions. That is why you still see emphasis on washing hands and dis-infecting surfaces when the overwhelming evidence shows that COVID is spread by airborne transmission, not contact with surfaces or even spread by droplets. Their repeated attempts to implement rules and restrictions that obviously will have no effect along with they themselves violating those same rules and restrictions just adds to the distrust being accumulated regarding COVID health guidelines. It's a real world example of the Boy who Cried Wolf.
