- K_CharlesExplorerNice place to camp on the dunes, sites are spread out. I don't think I would swim there but we walked on the beach, Been there a few times and will go back.
- Wagonqueen_TrucExplorerStayed there 1 night a few weeks ago. We moved to the Holiday Trav L Resort down the road. I wasn't all that impressed with First Landing.
- loggenrockExplorerFirst Landing is very nice. We were in the "north" end - the "south" end seemed to have a lot more swampy areas between the sites. We had a fine time and would return. ST
- Shot-N-AzExplorerWe stayed there one night a couple of years ago. What I recall most is the loop we were in had many overhanging trees that made maneuvering our motorhome through the CG and campsite a real challenge. Another lasting memory is you cannot trust your GPS to take you to the right place to enter the park. I don't care much for the Virginia Beach area anyway, and this park did not give us reason to return to the area.

About the Holiday travel resort, a really nice rv resort. We stayed there 2009 and during our stay the naval air base next to the resort were flying sorties 24 hrs a day with jets taking off every 10 minutes or so. First few were amazing to watch, you could see the rivets on the skin of the aircraft as they were only about fifty feet off of the ground. Couldn't hear yourself scream much less try to carry on a conversation though, the noise was deafening.
As I stated at the beginning,it's a really nice resort, but the noise was the worse. Next time we will stay at first landing state park. on the north side evidently. - bobjogoneExplorerNice bike trails
