Florida Campground - Stay for 6, Pay for 12?

Good Sam sent out an email newsletter today and one of the featured articles was about a new RV Park in Florida. I checked out the rates and to me the rates seem high (even for Florida) considering that they are inland, but maybe their rates are reasonable. What shocked me is they offer a 12-month price at a little more than twice the 6-month price, and it says "6 here 6 away". Does that mean you are paying a little more than the same rate for 6 months that you don't use the park? That makes no sense to me. They can charge whatever they want; I just don't understand why anyone would take that deal. Can someone here explain?
