We go in the spring each year but have been in the summer as well. Like others have said it will be very hot. IMO if you have never been to the Fort and that is the only time you can go, then go! It is a great CG and you will have plenty of fun in the parks and CG. Sure it will be hot and come winter you will be dreaming of being somewhere like that. Go enjoy and make the best of it.
