*laughing* - pnicholsExplorer IIThe last few days we were getting onto Verizon's towers at 4G speeds just fine around Quartzsite. Now we're camped kindof out in the middle of nowhere a couple of miles East of Brenda and still getting Verizon 4G just fine.
- NinerBikesExplorerI got 4 bars on AT&T just on Plomosa Road about 500 yds east of highway 95. I could see the tower blinking really close to the HiJolly Zoo animals and keepers.
- hugemothExplorerI'm at mile post 14 on Plomosa Road, 14 miles from Hwy 95, and have 4 bars on Virgin Mobile 3G and phone which work on the Sprint Network. My friends with Verizon have iffy coverage here but pretty good closer to Bouse.
- Carl_n_SusanNomad IIFour bars of Verizon 4G LTE service here on Plomosa Road for the last two years.

For really quiet and less-busy camping, take Plomosa toward Bouse. Just after the summit you'll find some really nice big areas. Only problem is, Verizon doesn't work there - at least not last year.
I have a MiFi device for internet (Verizon) works great. Also, my phone works good too...YMMV :) - NinerBikesExplorerIf you get Valley Fever, it'svery common to get symptoms similar to whooping cough. the call is very persistent for 4 6 8 10 12 weeks very very very hard to shake. once you start coughing you are unable to stop. I I got Valley Fever in a mountain bike race summer of 2011 and cough for over 3 monthsbefore it finally went away.

- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIExplanation of Valley Fever
If the above photo is of valley fever that is a very rare case. The most common symptoms are fatigue and cough - 2/3 of those having valley fever never even notice the symptoms. I pity the poor person in the picture but keep in mind that you can die from the flu. I always keep things in perspective. - RVUSAExplorerThe flu doesnt do this.
