Free night in St. George, Utah

Hey all,

This April we will be spending a few days in Zion National Park and am looking for place to park overnight. I figuire we will probably get into town aroun midnight and will be headed up to our CG in Springdale in the morning. Probably be gone by 8:00 at the latest. Does anyone know if the Walmart allows overnight stays? Or realy anywhere. Since it's Utah and you can't throw a rock without hitting a church I could probably pull in there without too much trouble.

I could have reserved another night in our campground but I didn't wnat to be pulling in and setting up at midnight waking up all the other campers, plus I won't mind saving $39.

Thanks,
Chris
  • There's a rest area about 2-3 mile north of the Ut./ Az state line we have used rest areas many times with no problems.

  • On Hwy 9 just east of I-15 is the Washington County Regional Park and racetrack. Lots of parking around the park. For an overnighter, it should be perfect. Even if the facility is closed, there's tons of on street parking around it. Mostly commercial.

If that doesn't suit your fancy, try Quail Creek Reservoir on the other side of Hwy 9, exit 16 off I-15........Dennis
