I just got back from Glacier and had no problem getting a site. The only loop in Apgar that is reservable is the group camp loop. The other loops are all first come first served and there are plenty of sites. You will need to be there early because they will fill by noon usually. We got there about 10 in the morning and had no problem.
Expect the park to be crowded though, but there is always somewhere to go. Have a great trip
