Live in Calgary Alberta and have owned a 5th Wheel for 5 years. Every year we make at least one trip to Mountain Meadow in Hungry Horse. Location is great. Their sites are awesome.. like being in state park or national park but with full hook-ups. You are not stacked one on top of the other. The park is well managed and quiet. It's a an awesome 'retreat' for DW and myself. Can't recommend it high enough. - texasAUtigerExplorerWe're headed there in July so this thread is very helpful!
We are staying in St Mary KOA. - vermilyeExplorerIf you visit the west side of Glacier, be sure to drive out to the Polebridge Mercantile for a sticky bun or cinnamon roll. A great bakery!

We stayed at the KOA in West Glacier with our FW. It is a very nice clean park that is well run. It's close to the Glacier Park entrance too. I'd recommend it.

We were there last summer and it is a very nice KOA...probably the nicest we have ever seen in a high traffic area (i.e. tourist destination). - any_rd_but_mainExplorerMountain Meadows in hungry horse sits on the side of the mountain great views real nice spaces quiet plenty of trees its laid out where your not on top of each other We had a great time there for the whole week
- pulsarExplorerOn the west side, we stay in the park, Apgar Campground. The West Glacier KOA is nice, but expensive. We like San-Suz-Ed Montana RV Park.
There are no park campsites big enough for us on the east side. We stay at the St. Mary KOA. Expensive, but nice and has access to Lower St. Mary lake and to the St Mary River. Our dogs like swimming in the river.

Mountain Meadow in Hungry Horse, a delightful place to stay. That is where we would definitely go back for a visit to Glacier National Park.

X2 and if you are traveling with a dog they have a dog walking service so you can take the red bus tour, which picks up at the office, and they will walk your dog while you are gone. - Uncle_RjExplorerCheck out Lake Five Resort just west of West Glacier. We spend most of the summer there. Some of the sites can be a bit small but most of them have power and water. They also have a truck to come by and pump out your tanks if you need it.
Great place for kids. - tohareExplorerJohnson's on east side. . much less expensive than koa and a great location. Bear walked right in front of mh as I was fixing dinner.
