Glacier NP fit a 40'mh?
We were looking at Fish Creek Campgroung and the sites show nothing bigger than 35'. I know when we hosted st Arches the website said nothing more than 35 but we had sites that would have held a 70 footer

True, I've seen many CG's like that, in fact we were in a COE CG in Va. last week, the site across from us was a large pull through, listed as a max vehicle length of 40 ft. but it would easily hold 3 times that, while there was a curve in the interior road, it was not bad enough to be a size restrictor.rjxj wrote:

- Going to the Sun Road is limited to vehicles 22 feet and shorter. You don't need to go on that road to get to a campground. You can take US Rt. 2 around the south end of the park.
You would have no problem getting to Fish Creek in a large motorhome. The roads are perfectly fine to the campground entrance. However you would be wise to check with a ranger who has actually worked there about the length and height. The campground roads might be your limiting point, other than the sites themselves.
Check out Glacier Meadows RV park on US 2 just outside the park. It would work well for you.
This is a link to the campground layout. One loop is marked non-navigable to vehicles 28' and longer. - It's not always the site length that limits the rig. Sometimes it's the corners you need to drive getting there or getting out. I have hosted at an NFS campground that is limited to 28 feet, with sites that would accommodate larger rigs, but the road is too narrow and corners too sharp for those rigs. Having driven Going To The Sun Road, I can assure you that you won't get far into Glacier NP in a 40 foot MH before you find yourself unable to proceed as well as unable to turn around. And you won't like trying to back out at all.
