We are at Green Gate Grove, next door to the South of Bentsen Grove.
Careful there are 2 Bentsen Palms, Bentsen Palm Village Resort next door to the State Park & world Birding Center. Nice newer park but a bit pricy and Bentsen Palm North on Bentsen Palm Drive, Older park with mostly smaller lots but friendly folks. Bentsen Grove has the most Activities. Americana nice smaller old park, Val's Country Coral, nice, well kept older and Golden Grove, clean budget park and Retama Village, Deluxe. All and more in this area.

20 miles and slightly higher elevation makes a difference. It is colder there.

Sorry, we haven't been to that one. I usually try and stay at LLano Grande, a little pricey but worth the price. I like the Mission area also. Martin Valley has the 27 hole golf course and there is a RV park nearby. You might go the the Green Gate Grove website and rent from one of the owners. Good luck.

There are a lot of golf courses down there. Go on Golf18 McAllen and check around. Los Lagos is a good one in the Edinburg area. Martin's out in Mission is nice. Tony Butler in Harlingen is nice. Go on Google and search for golf courses in the McAllen area. Beware, they are all pretty busy this time of the year and you will need tee times.
