Good Fishing in PA

Looking for a good spot to do some fishing in PA. BILs coming from Indiana and need a cabin, I'm bringing the the trailer. Any good places that have camping, cabins, and good fishing about halfway between NY and IN?
  • What kind of fishing are you looking for? Catfishing, fly fishing for trout, etc?
Spruce Creek area is supposed to be good for fly fishing. On my bucket list.
  • Try up around the Lake Raystown area plus a good mid-way point.
  • Just bass and walleye, etc. We're not skilled fly fishermen...

Very true this late, we used Heritage Cove before, it was ok not right on the lake but is accessible.
  • The State College area has excellent summer trout fishing. Northern Bedford county also has excellent summer trout fishing and youare in easy driving distance to Raystone Lake ( deep lake that can be tough in summer).

Erie Pa has access to Lake Erie and Presque Isle. Need a boat or guide.

Susquehanna River can be good but guides are recommended.

Warren Pa gives you access to Kinzua Lake.

Youghiogheny River and Lake are decent in summer plus access to Ohiopyle, Frank Lloyd Wrights Fallingwater and the Flight 93 memorial.

Good luck. I would trout fish in the State College area myselfy. Numerous world class trout streams in the area.
