Yes, if you can get reservations, Trailer Village is the only way to go! Shuttle bus will take you just about everywhere for free. You can easly spend a week, busy every day, and still not see half of everything. And in Trailer Village, you can get up fairly early and drive to the rim in just a few minutes to see the full sunrise. After it gets light, be sure to wait until the sun clears the rim. And if you are really lucky, you can get to hear one of the native americans pipe the sundown in the evening. We did stay in Wiliams one night, the campgrounds there are nice, and if you take it, the train ride is fun. On the train, you only get to stay at the canyon for a few hours, and it is about an hour ride each way. OK if you really like trains.
