Heading North in a few days - are campsites crowded?

Question

I'm planning on heading north past las Vegas to Washington (Hwy 93) and wonder what the campsite availability might be like.
Boondocking, dry camping or RV parks are okay.
Has anyone doe this recently? Your experience?

North of Ely, Nv is the pony express rest area. Just south of RA entrance is a road, gravel, east that is good for boondocking.

We came north on 93 two weeks ago. Boondocked all the way.
