Henderson Beach State Park Florida

We have a campsite reserved here in early May and my question is, can you drive and park from the campground to the beach. Physical problems could be a problem with walking the distance to the beach. Also is the hiway noise a problem? Thanks.
  • Yes there is a day use area in the park where you can park. The walk to the beach is relatively short so give it a shot one time to see if it works as the campers beach is much less crowded. If I recall correctly there was a bench on the pathway to the beach that would allow some measure of comfort for a few minutes if needed. Road noise in the CG is not an issue at all.
  • I believe there are sand wheelchairs available at the boardwalk entrances to the beach from the campground. They were free for guests. Give the park a call to check.

We were not bothered by road noise while camping but our site was located away from the road.

One of our favorite campgrounds, enjoy your visit!
  • Thanks for your replies, sounds like if the walk is too much it will work out.
