- caverNomadYes it is. It's looks to be just under 4 miles of gravel off the pavement. It's been years since I've been there as I used to love poking around the Henry Mountains. There's a herd of buffalo that wanders the Henry's. The BLM office is in Hanksville on a side street. They have the old salvaged Wolverton Mill next to their building that was hauled out of the Henry Mountain location a long time ago. Many years ago a forest fire swept through part of the mountain range. I need to get back there some day.
- joloooteExplorerHi caver. Is this Starr CG along 276 heading toward Halls Crossing or Bull Frog?
- caverNomadNot near Hite but about 45 miles away...14 as the crow flies is Starr Springs CG. It's in a grove of scrub Oak so just tall enough to give some shade. There are roads all around the Henry Mountains that may be a bit 4x4 depending on how recent the road grader came through.

- azdryheatExplorerGo across the mountains to the west and go up the 89 to Marysvale. South Forty RV park caters to the off-road crowd.
- WE-C-USAExplorerWe overnighted at Hite last Sept. The campground was closed. It was being remodeled. There was a brand new modern restroom building. We pulled down the boat ramp and setup on one of the several boondocking spots. Campground might be reopened by now.
