Gulfman, Huntington Beach park is nice. But if she likes to fish, etc, I think you woul be better off staying at Myrtle Beach state park because they have pier for fishing and ranger classes for crabbing and such. I think the pier cost $5 per day, and no fishing permits. You can use the pier and get free into park, if you are staying in another sc state park. Huntington Beach is next to Murriels Inlrt, son lots of fishing and restruants there. I have stayed at both parks, both about the amenities other than the pier. Both have a few full hookups, but you must book early to get them. Also look at Hunting Island beach park in Beaufort, Sc. Most visited state park in SC. All three of theses parks have 3 to 4 miles of state beach. Over all I prefer Hunting Island stat park because of aceesing from my area and camping right on the beach.
Here is a pic from my last stay at Hunting island.

You will enjoy either park, I would go back to either one. I have 2 weeks scheduled for the last week in .may at Huning Island.
