hmmm... here in the Pacific Northwest (PNW) what does that describe? Oh! that's right.... EVERYTHING WEST of the CASCADES.

I'm a PNW rainbird. I wear polo shirts and docker shorts, year round. Half the time the only thing covering my bare feet are my shower sandals. I probably just gave myself away. Shutup Weldon.

Be prepared for rain and 40F to 60F degree weather (28F to 45F at night), and you'll be all set.

We go to the coast in the winter and will be going next week and in Feb. you just need to camp at the right places and travel in between storms. Sometimes the weather is better on the coast than inland, the south coast is nicer than the northern end .We have been doing this for years.

Canyonville is a historic town. Third oldest in Oregon with a great historic down town and nice museum. Casino sets at the north end of the city. Their RV Park is to the west across I-5 and up the canyon setting by it self. Not the RV parking area at the Casino.

+1 for Neskowin Creek...we usually stay there 1-2 times per year in the off-season (winter).

There is an area in the "shadow" of the Olympic NP that does not get as much rain as the rest of the NW. Check out the cg's around Squim, WA. I'm not familiar with what's up there.

I'm familiar with Woodland, WA and can give you some names of a few there but won't until you say that's an area you want. I still suggest you check out the ones near Squim, WA.

Now, if you are just looking for a week or so than I would suggest the Good Same CG in McMinnville,OR. The Evergreen Aviation Museum is there and it's a fun place to spend a couple of days at. It also has a water park...with a Boeing 747 parked on the roof. The water slides come out of the plane and down around into the pool.

How far up the Oregon coast do you plan on driving?

My home park is Neskowin Creek RV Resort in Neskowin, Oregon. It is 8 miles north of Lincoln City, OR on State Route 101.

RPI, Coast to Coast, ROD, and AOR members are welcome.

The park is gated. Every site has a picnic table and a fire ring on the ground. There is a large swing set/play area for kids, outdoor shuffle board, basketball/tennis court, horse shoes. There are games/puzzles in the clubhouse. The park has a separate pool house with jacuzzi, fitness room, laundry, and showers. The bathrooms/showers are part of the clubhouse and are open 24x7. Half a mile north in Neskowin is the Neskowin Beach State Recreation Area, with access to the beach. The Hawk Creek Café in Neskowin has excellent pizza. Lincoln City has McDonalds, BK, Subway, pizza shops, movie cinema, touristy shops, yadda, yadda, yadda.

For adults there is Chinook Winds Casino and Golf Course in Lincoln City. 23 miles east of Lincoln City, on OR-18, is Spirit Mountain Casino. Their Cedar Plank Buffet is to die for.
