I-80 Truck Stop and Trucking Museum, Daveport, Iowa

I will post this here because I do believe that it is an attraction.

I have passed by here several times over the years without stopping. Today with plenty of time, we visited the Truck Stop, but the reason for stopping was to visit the Trucking Museum. I wasn't disappointed. Maybe a hundred or more old trucks.

Don't know which ones to post here, but see some more old ones here: I-80 Trucking Museum

  • Plan to hit there on our trip west next year, thanks for the photos looks great.
  • We have relatives in that area, but have never visited the Trucking Museum in Walcott.

Thank you for the heads up and for all the great photos.
  • Love that truck stop. Stop in every time we go that direction. My daughter lived in Iowa. This was right on our route. She moved to Kansas City, MO about 6 weeks ago. Guess we'll be going right down I-70 or US 40 now. We may never go that direction again now. It's a great place.
  • The museum is worth the stop, and even to go out of your way to see. The truck stop is a hoot. I actually think the number of LED light bulbs on display and for sale may qualify it for a LED light bulb museum!
  • I'm kind of a truckstop geek, and I stop there every time we go through. Everyone should see it at least once.
  • Thanks for posting. I was there last fall but the museum was closed on that day. Saw the big fancy OTR ones in the store.
