Juke Joints: MS and Louisiana

Juke Joints have blues music, food and beer. Found this site listing a number of them in case you're in the area.
Junior's Juke Joint

Note: these places aren't fancy, just interesting music and eats.
  • Been to the Po Monkey Juke Joint in Marigold, Miss. Historic place that is only open on Thursday afternoons. Worth the trip just to see the place.

Great link -- thanks! That sounds like a fun road trip -- hitting one after the other. I would gain 50 pounds, I'm sure. Now, all we need is a similar link for the Zydeco joints in Louisiana!

This might be a starter for you Cajun/Zydeco dance clubs

There's also a Zydeco Festival in Plaisance, LA each year. They haven't posted the latest info yet but if you keep an eye on this website I'm sure they will soon.
