Kerr Lake state park North Carolina

Anyone camped at Kerr Lake state park North Carolina? We have a site at Henderson Point campground this coming weekend. I reserved it about 2 months ago. Waterfront site for our TT. Only staying Friday and Saturday night so won't be leaving park. Just looking for thoughts and opinions.

In general, all the NC state parks here are decent. Some sites are not waterfront but there are many that are. Personally I like County Line park, mainly because the waters edge is a gentle slope into the site, easy for kids to swim right from the site, but with lake temps currently holding around 45-48f I doubt thats an issue.
There are several parks close to each other in that area, Take a ride for an hour or so while here and ride through them, give you an idea for future trips.

thanks. will do, yes we are lucky here in central North Carolina, mountains and coast within easy drive

I think you misunderstood my comment, On that southern portion of the lake you have several state campgrounds and parks.
Satterwhite Park, Bullocksville, Hibernia point, County Line, Kimball point. These are all within about 20 miles of where you are going, As you get closer to the Dam, the sites seem a little less sloped the ones farther back in Nutbush creek are on more narrow parts of the creek and sites can be a little bit smaller and closer together.

You have a great oppurtunity to scout the other parks since they are that close.

Very.good info. Our TT Is 33 ft long so state parks take planning ahead

We do like to scout. I use the campground map and make notes about specific sites.
