Not really my thing, but Sun n Fun is popular. It has a pool, bouncy pillow and such.

We've stayed at Miami Everglades RV Resort before and it meets your needs, including kid friendly. It's not really in Miami, but just north of Homestead, not far south of US41. They have a great pool too.

As of last week when I called, personnel there had no idea of when they'd be having reservations through R/A.

You can still do walk-ups...just not through R/A.

Was hoping to get in there sometime in Jan, so we check fairly often.

Jetty Park in Cape Canaveral and you can visit the Space Center. You can reserve online for the 4 days in 2015 but not sure when they will open the January booking. You could call them for that info.

X2 - would be a great area for kids. Jetty Park has a nice long beach, pier for fishing and close to Cape Canaveral. Also some nice bike trails in the area. We enjoyed watching the cruise ships go past the c.g.

Look up Westgate River Ranch near Lake Wales. Rodeo, putt-putt, zipline, mechanical bull, horse and pony rides, petting farm, pool, street dance.
We love it there.
