Kid oriented CG in Ma or Ct

In MA, you can take them to Normandy Farms. In Conn, you could try around the Mystic Area and take them to the Mystic Aquarium.

I'd suggest Pine Acres in Oakham,MA. Lots to do such as boating, fishing, pool,small water park type area,mini golf and volleyball etc. Normandy Farms is nice too. I'm an hour from both...of the 2 I prefer Pine Acres because it's a little less crowded.

Edit:Just asked my 7-9 year old boys and they prefer Pine Acres.

We stayed last summer at the Seaport CG in Mystic CT. You have the Mystic Seaport which any young lad should enjoy. The Mystic Aquarium and they were still picking strawberries the 1st week of July when we were there. The is also the Submarine Base near by in Groton CT with a submarine museum and ships they can tour.

Worth a look.

If you are in western MA I would say Copake KOA. We are seasionals there and a great place. Also close by is great paintball...golf...Catamount Adventure park all within 10 min of the campground. It is located aprox at the point where NY CT and MA all meet..20 min from great barrington ma. All sites are 20/30/50 amp full hookup and cable tv. Rated #28 of all KOA last year.
