Las Vegas RV Park info

If the wedding is to take place near or on the Strip, I would stay at Circus Circus. We have stayed there.

From our visit in Nov/ Dec 2016, none of the main casinos in the city of Las Vegas allow over night RV parking in their lots. Most of their parking is in garages anyway where an RV will not fit.

Some of the casinos have RV ‘campgrounds’ even some as far out as Boulder Highway.

I don’t even remember RVs in the Walmart lots, nor any RVs in the Pilot truck parking area.

The choice of where to stay IMHO depends on where the wedding will take place. Las Vegas isn’t a hard town to get from place to place.

Do note that much of the ‘town’ of Las Vegas is actually unincorporated Clarke County. So what might not be allowed in the city of Las Vegas might be allowed in the county, like the two Walmart’s near either end of the airport.

(We are Thousand Trails members and stayed at their CG for the max allowed stay before moving to the military campground at Nellis AFB. Had to stay almost 6 weeks due to a medical issue. If you are a TT member or military/ retired both would be fine. )

Stayed at Sams Town a couple of times. No issues and easy to get on shuttle. Hitchin Post also nice but a little far (7 or 8 miles) from the strip. Close to Nellis AFB so you will hear and see F-18s most of the day (I actually love watching them). Make reservations early!

We've stayed at Oasis, too pricey and under the airport flight path. We've stayed at Las Vegas RV Park, off Boulder Hwy, liked that. We've stayed at Sam's Town, now the KOA and not worth the price they charge. The cheapest in town may be the Main Street Station, downtown, just a parking lot as I understand. There are good reviews for the Clark County Shooting Range. There are a lot of rv parks there.

Some of the Casinos have outside parking - Back of Ballys/Paris, Excalibur etc and folks have stealth camped there for a few nights on and off for years. Things have changed past couple years though, with automatic arms for access and changing for parking at most of the Casinos on the strip now. Something to bear in mind if you are entering and exiting a lot of Casinos for entertainment now!

In many years gone by we have liked the Oasis but as has been mentioned got way too pricey, although you can get Passport America rates at certain times so check into that. If you are needing to be Strip/Freemont area dominant for a short stay and can sleep well, then maybe Main Street Station or Circus Circus (latter was shut down but reopened when redevelopment plans got shelved!). We stayed at Sams Town area May 2017 = LV RV Resort, Nellis Blvd once and probably wouldn't again unless you have your own transport. Felt very sketchy walking around there especially at night, and the shuttle contract is up I believe this year, and with the new bid we were told that Sams Town are not opening it up to non patrons! Hearsay but don't rely on the shuttle without checking out the facts. Cabs from Sams Town to the Strip are pretty costly and regular bus service quite time consuming.

Just some food for thought to look into a little further depending on your individual needs.

Check out the Clark County Shooting Complex. It is just north of town, with a beautiful view of the city at night.

Not Hitchin Post. Most of the local homeless with RV’s live there.

If you are in a Class A, check out LV Motorcoach resort. Really nice place and right off the strip.

We've used Hitchin' Post for overnight a few times while passing through. Quiet, clean, and good amenities. Close to the Air Force base, so plenty of air traffic during the day, which doesn't bother us. Good gas station close by.
