Up Kyle Canyon, Lee Canyon, and especially Cold Creek roads are some nice boondocking sites NW of town.
To the SW of town on the west side of the Spring Mountains and north of Nevada highway 160 up Lovell Canyon Road (20 miles west of the Strip)are numerous boondocking sites at 5500+ ft the national forest.
