Yep, they are truly awesome. Great shot. You must have timed that bungee drop perfectly, to get such a clear shot. :B
One thing I remembered about the one we saw at the GCSR. Before the condor fly-by swoop, we noticed that there were lots of very large ravens along the rim. Just doing their thing, looking for handouts from the touristas, and flying around like they owned the place. They must have been getting too close to some of the smaller bird's nests, and seemed to be tormenting them, because the small birds would chase them around squawking and dive bombing them to get the ravens to leave the area.
What sticks in my mind was, when the condor appeared, suddenly it was these huge ravens chasing the condor around, while it pretty much ignored them, and they were cawing and squawking at the bigger bird, just like they had been tormenting the smaller birds a few minutes earlier. The condor made them look like sparrows, it was that big when in flight, compared to the ravens.
