Little Farm on the River

I frequent this campground several times throughout the year! My favorite campground around. Family owned campground, GREAT fishing in the small pond, events every wknd, 5 Halloween wknd campouts, golf cart rentals, a shuttle bus to the casino that runs until 4am, great food down in the town of rising sun! Always welcoming and lots to do and see! Great people and a great place!

Honestly, we are only one hour from there, and hoping this might be our home away from home getaway! Sitting along the river watching the barges go by, while hubby goes and gambles or fish, sounds like the perfect little getaway for us!! :B

Stop by the harp factory in downtown Rising Sun. Visit the local museum about a block west of Main. Check out the history of the electric chairs that used to be built in town (don't sit down!).

They have a bath house on the river edge part of the CG, around site 150. If you reserve a site in that area, it's a short walk. The web site does have a CG map with site numbers you can look at on littlefarmresort.com

we will be there next weekend, if anyone else is going.

We enjoy just watching the river traffic. Many small towns to visit that have museums, restaurants, antique shops, etc. We have never ran out of activities. Go West and watch the locks traffic just past the Belterra Casino.

This is a great park. We prefer the sites down by the river. It's fun to watch the river traffic go by. The campground has special events just about every weekend in the summer. I think they have the schedule on their website. We are in northern Cincinnati (West Chester) and do the same thing for a quick weekend away, but we do enjoy the casino too.

Joe this is a very nice park, the weekend of june 6th and 7th, they have a trip over to Red Wolf Sanctuary, which is free and igf you have kids ita a trip they will not forget.
