llano grande mecedes texas ???

My father's family lived in Mercedes for decades and we visited there often. I don't recall any repetitive history of flooding in Mercedes. I've found several articles on the June 2018 flood in that area that impacted the entire valley...it seemed to be a tropical wave that stalled over the area. I don't think you will see that in March because the Gulf waters are too cold for that type of system to occur.
