Mail when long term boondocking

I'm retiring at the end of January, and am planning a 2 month boondocking trip to Arizona/New Mexico area. Question is what to do about mail? What do you all do?

Thanks!
  • The majority of full-timers have a mail forwarding address as their permament address that they use on the driver's license, registrations, voting, etc. When you want your mail you call or email them and they will send it to the nearest 'small' town post office c/o General Delivery. We never had a problem doing it that way.

What kind of address are you using now?
  • We went thru this. Physical mail, Best choice is someone you trust. Second is mail forwarding service. But Get as much stuff as possible online now. Be careful of jury duty if you farward mail to zip code that has 3 different court systems, unless to want jury duty, and lots of it.
  • We have used the Escapees Mail service for 15 years. If we are boondocking, which we do quite a bit of during the summer, we check with a close USPO to see if the take general delivery. If so, we call the mail service and they forward to where we request it to be sent. But we receive very, very little mail.
  • Thanks Everyone - Looks like I'll be looking into some of these email forwarding services. I appreciate everyone's input.
  • Only for 2 months?
Review and pay your bills online, let the rest just pile up until you get back.
    This is what we do,
    Enjoy your retirement!
