Minneapolis / St. Cloud area recommendations

Heading down to Minneapolis/St. Cloud area for a short week away in Sept. Would like recommendations for 30' travel trailer without kids just pets so don't need playground, etc.

Trying to look at RV park reviews, etc. but only seem to be older reviews in that area. Most of the reviews I have found have been northern MN.

Thanks in advance!
  • Baker Park Reserve which is located about 16 miles west of Minneapolis. It is a very nice park with large sites and several miles of walking/biking paths.Clicky
  • We stay at Lake Elmo Park Reserve : http://www.co.washington.mn.us/index.aspx?NID=502 It's excellent and is kind of like what Birds Hill Park is for Winnipeg. It's just outside the Minneapolis/St. Paul bypass on the east side of the city. It's like camping in the country, but the city is close at hand.
Rate is $25/day Mon.to Thru.& includes park pass and $28/day weekends & includes park pass. RV Park reviews : http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/minnesota/lake-elmo/lake-elmo-park-reserve. And they rate it at 9.4/10.
  • There is a very nice county park, Lebanon Hills. It's not far from the interstate and is on the south eastern part of the Twin Cities metro area - Apple valley/Eagan area.

Not sure which area of the Twin Cities you are looking into, but it's not bad to get across town from.

This park, they generally have a minimum stay for Holiday weekends. So watch the weekend of Sept 5/6/7, may have a minimum stay requirement.
  • We had a short project in Minneapolis/St Paul. There weren't many RV Parks in that area, so we stayed at a MH Park in Bloomington, near jobsite.

But we did drive to the Mystic Lake Casino and the Dakotah Meadows RVPark was right onsite. It was huge, well maintained, but not sure how kids would enjoy it.
