That is really lame. It is a darn rooster and the guy with the hat on ended up fighting to keep it. For heavens sake. I agree with Texas!!!!

We stayed on the river at Riverview in Vidalia, LA. It was a wonderful place and if you have passport america, it is half price. We could not get enough of Natchez. Go see the Presbyterian Church in town, that has a wonderful photography exhibit adjacent to the church. The church is gorgeous too. There are many historic homes there, some are free and some are reasonably priced. Interestingly a number of garden clubs each has taken on a historic home project. The cemetery is memorable and go to the restaurant called "**** of the Walk" and learn the history of the other part of the city down by the river. We also ate at a place down there as well is a very old building. We really loved Natchez. If you go on the parkway, visit the abandoned town, now owned by the NPS I believe and walk back to the old church, which is still used on Sundays.

X4 for Natchez SP

We need three or four days for Natchez whenever we visit. We like the National Historic Park and touring some of the pay for visit mansions, along with just walking through downtown.

The cemetery is also amazing.

When we visited Natchez, we stayed at Natchez SP, which is about 10 miles NNE of town. We don't tow either and had no problem parking the RV in town at the visitor center. From there we walked all around town checking out the beautiful old homes. After a few days in town, we began a leisurely trip up the Natchez Trace Parkway.

We have stayed at both, several times at Natchez State Park. Riverview is actually in Vidalia, Louisiana.

You have two good choices. The state park is several miles out from the city; Riverview is across the river.

Natchez State Park is nice we have stayed there a couple of times.

While you are there tour some of the Antebellum homes.

Just south of Natchez is a unique piece of Americana. Mammy's Cupboard stop and get some lunch take some pictures it was built in 1939 and is in the shape of the old Aunt Jemima. It is on Hwy 61 south not far from town.

This is a very good idea. Most of Natchez history,culture and structures have been lost to time, but can be reflected upon in visiting those who built it by respectfully visiting resting places.
For rv sites , cross the river to Vidalia, La., We have enjoyed the camp there 5 years ago and just a month ago, right on the river. the only noise is the river barge tugs. Splendid views,
