Need ideas - warm

If you can predict that anywhere near the mid-Atlantic will be warm in February, then you must have a working crystal ball. The only more or less reliable places would be South Florida, South Texas and the south southwest. Florida is the only close one to you. And even they can be cold. January and February are winter in Florida and we can and do get cold fronts. But it will be warmer than where you are.

I've spent many a winters traveling between Florida and western NY. It's reasonably tolerable from the Piedmont (Charlotte area) of the Carolinas over to the coast. In Jan & Feb, you'll get an occasional ice or snow storm out of the SW. About a day or two of rough travel and it's over.

Along the coast of southern S.C. and N. GA, highs will average in upper 50s/low 60s and the lows, between 38° and 40°. Hardly a heat wave but you'll gain about 10-12° above home temps.

Gulfport, MS is warmer then VA

Give her an atlas and let her pick! Florida, Alabama or Mississippi coast is about it and even then can be cool. Noe-place is right. Have to be south of Tampa to get warm in those months.
Look this campground up in the panhandle: Live Oak Landing, Freeport, Florida. It's not on the water but about 10 miles if you want to drive there. New park in beautiful quiet area, yet close to stuff if you get bored. Might be a bit cool but sometimes warms up in the afternoons. Warmer than home!

I was on the coast of South Carolina in January 2012 and it was 70 degrees. I was on the coast of Georgia in February 2013 and it was 50 degrees. There is no guarantee with the weather. Just pick a place and hope for the best. Savannah, Charleston, Myrtle Beach...

Sounds like SW Air to me. You can't bet on MB until April. We've paid the price several times for going earlier than that. Still nicer than sitting home, just take warm clothes just in case.

Personally for Jan-Feb, I think FL south of Orlando/Tampa line is the only real option if you want what I consider warm (i.e. 80).
