Need more Adult RV Parks

Nothing against children, but adults that need to be around other adults without children or grand children is a welcome site. We have our own group of adults and it is enjoyable just to be around other adults without children around. My wife and myself don't have children and are used to this life style in our motorhome. Please don't think we don't like children but we like our adult privacy also.

Why is it that any time someone expresses a desire to hang out without kids or dogs, 80% of the responding posts are people telling them that they're wrong for daring to have that opinion? I just don't understand. Personally, I agree with the OP. When I'm on vacation, I don't want to have to modify my behavior to set a good example for other peoples' children. I'd like to hang out with other adults and act like an adult without worrying that I'm corrupting the next generation. There are plenty of "Family-Oriented" CGs around, and plenty of "55 & Up", but I would love to see a few that are in between.

Oh, and if Disney World / Fort Wilderness ever has a "No Kids Week", I'll be the first in line.

I don't want to hang out with a bunch of old grouchy, busybody gizzers talking about their ills, medications and politics. I'd rather have some young'ns around. They are entertaining and keep you young. They just have bad taste in music ๐Ÿ™‚
There a bunches of adult parks. I honestly try to avoid them.
I think the word you were looking for is "geezers"
I thought you were talking about a chicken(excuse the pun)

You know how some parks have a "no dog" area, how about a no kids area....or the inverse, how about an "old farts only area."
Everyone has their own idea of fun travel, personally I like meeting new people of all ages. I find restrictions to be just...restricting.
Happy trails

I have definitely had many more bad experiences with dogs and their owners than I have had with kids.

To each their own but sounds like Adult campground you would have issue's as well. Boondocking might be a better alternative. We camped 20 or so nights last year with our 2 boys. We make sure they don't bug anyone but us and at 2 and 5 they major in that! All the older folks we ran into seemed to enjoy those 2.. we typically don't initiate conversations as we know some tend to stick with themselves, nothing unfriendly about that. I can understand the rowdy kids but I've also seen and heard rowdy adults and dogs.. if the hosts don't take care of it we'd move on.

What we really need are more campgrounds that only allow people in with my prior approval. My space should be kept reserved just for me. There should also be rules on noise at all hours that pertain to everyone else but me. Actually any and all rules should apply to everyone else but me. I should also have the right to make up my own rules as I see fit and have them enforced immediately. :B

I think that's what the OP meant to say. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I would like to see more Adult Only RV Parks as well throughout the U.S. Just not enough of them like Arizona or Florida has. Nothing wrong with that. We are not old farts, or geezers, or half dead drunks so don't call people that.

There are plenty of Family oriented RV Parks and nothing wrong with that either if that is what you prefer so don't bash the Adult Only people.

Or an Adult Only section would be nice like at Buckhorn Lake RV Park in Kerrville, TX. Would like to see more parks set up like that.

I have to admit when I hit the road full time I was shocked at the new generation of parenting skills or should I saw 'lack of parenting skills' that seem to be so prevalent now a days. Total disregard for others, the all about me generation. Making for some very unpleasant CG stays.

Sadly these type of parents put a cloud over camping parents that DO know how to raise their kids to be respectful of others when RV'ing. ๐Ÿ˜ž

While its nice to think this generation is somehow unique. It's all a progression. The behaviors learned have been passed down from the previous generation. It's been that way from the beginning of time.

Personally as long as they are well behaved, I have no problem with camping with kids or adults. Behavior is more the factor than age.

Now if you simply do not want to hear children playing at all you have probably become an old grumpy person.

It would be great if all adults would be responsible and ensure their children didn't bother others. I wish there were alcohol and foul language free parks but that will never happen.

And dog poop. Don't forget that.

Never really gave CGs with/without kids any thought, we have other priorities in picking where to stay. But having more choices in where to stay would be a good thing. How about more folks build their dream campground, whatever that is. Think mine would only let in folks who were courteous to their neighbors.
