Need Suggestions for good Eats, West Yellowstone, Mt

We are going to be at West Yellowstone, Mt for 5 days. Looking at the Wife's planning chart, it shows someone in our group looking like me working the Bar=B=Q each night.

So, would like to take the troop out to dinner one night. Any suggestion from folks that have been there and done it will be appreciated.

Thanks

Bob
  • Just left Grizzly. Ate at 3 bears, at least I think that was the name. It has a nice restaurant with a hotel. It was the best meal I had in W Yellowstone. The best meal was at the dining room in Mammoth.
  • Thanks to members who provided information. I printed out the menus for the two restaurants.

Ref: West Yellowstone being a Tourist Trap. Are you folks indicating that when I pick up a genuine Yellowstone NP item it will be marked "Made In China" on the bottom? :B

  • It's a tourist trap. If you don't mind driving up towards Bozeman there is an restaurant called Stacy's. It's an old style saloon and steakhouse. It's small and gets pretty crowed, but had the best prime rib I've ever eaten. It's about an hour and 15 min. drive. The 'town' is Gallatin Gateway before you get to Four Corners.
  • West is a tourist trap town, you take your chances. The bigger the billboard, the "better" the food.
