New park coming to the Verde Valley

For those of you who like the Verde Valley, it looks like you will soon have another park to choose from. Plans to be up scale with large sites.

Redmoon RV Resort

Hope it comes together.

Scratch that park off my list of park to go too.

  • 2014 the Sedona View RV park was approved.......still hasn't opened

(Hilltop area above 2 defunct auto dealerships on SR26o where one could see the Sedona Redrocks)

We'll see IF this new one gets off the ground

Camp Verde per se is NOT a destination --------Thousand Trails/Distant Drums/Zane Grey/Dead Horse Park & 15+ other CGs....pretty much handle all the paid camping

I don't think Thousand Trails made it. If you're referring to the park on Thousand Trails Rd, between Cottonwood and Camp Verde, the park there now sports a name other than Thousand Trails. We stayed along that road on Coconino National Forest land about a month ago.

The Thousand Trails park is there. The name is Thousand Trails Verde Valley RV Resort.
  • Very interesting. 425 seems like overkill. So many sites and that potential amenities include pickleball courts makes me think they are hoping to get the snowbird business (those who may not care about being as warm as parts of AZ south of the VV).

Also interested in which other RV parks in the VV that company built (as noted in the last paragraph of the news article).

Will have to go check out the Rain Spirit park. Didn't know about that one.
