HURRICANE COMING

If you are mobile I say get out of Dodge!

If it is stored I would look into tie downs. DO a Google search.

The Gov of South Carolina has just place the entire coast line on MANDATORY EVACUATIONS . .

IF your in the path, I suggest that you keep your jacks UP, while getting out of dodge !

You don't ride it out, either leave or plan on going to a shelter.

If you can't get out of the area, try to find a high area, that won't flood and look for a shopping mall. Check to see if you can park next to the back of a large store, on the inside of a group of stores to block the wind.
First choice is to always leave the area, but I have parked our coach at a mall while we rode out Irma at our stick house. When we lost power for several days, I brought the coach back home to live in and used the generator to power our home refrig and freezer.

Good luck. 140 mph wind, really, I don't think up or down will make any difference. Hitch up and get out now! That's your best choice. Keep driving West till you see sunshine!

Getting out not and option. I live here and have been through several hurricanes. Just have never had a class A parked next to the house.

Dutchmen is correct, jacks up or down, no difference. The wind will destroy your RV in seconds. Time to head west, like right now.

If you do move the RV to a location out of the wind, be sure to leave a large sign with your contact info in the windshield and remove all valuables. As soon as it is safe, bring the coach back home.

I would be moving the RV out of harms way and then, if I really felt like riding out a cat 4 hurricane, I would go back home in my toad or tow vehicle. You will have a much better chance of having a place to live if you separate the RV from your house and bring it home afterwards to live in if need be.

The house I used to own in the Keys had the roof torn off last year and I'm pretty sure that was only a cat 3.
