- Is pumping so bad? And what about gravity?
Sun Shower (the black bag with a hose on it) has been around for years, costs about $20. Works on gravity. You could hang it on the outside of the trailer.
One Tiger owner who camps in winter and wants a shower without worrying about frozen pipes says he uses a one-gallon pump sprayer from Home Depot. They cost about $15. - Opie431ExplorerWe were given a solar shower as a gift years ago. Surprisingly it works great.
Let it lay in the sun for a few hours and you have hot water. When we go tent camping we always take it with us. - Roy_LynneExplorerIt looks great. I could think of a million uses for it
- garyhauptExplorerThinking of winter travels...I like the idea of the Rinsekit, but geeez, the box takes up more room than I would be able to give it.
I have used the Solar Bag lots, Back when I was in my VW Westy and prowling around the SW for two weeks at a time, that and my expressso maker were about the two most important items.
As an FYI...the Soloar Bag? put in about a third of cold water, then add HOT...no waiting for the sun, which some days, never shines. Oh yeah...and I always carried a length of line and a wrench. Tie the line to the wrench, toss over a branch and yank'r up. Used a front car mat to stand on. If in a public place, wear some shorts....scrub scrub scrub....
Gary Haupt - caverNomadback when I had pop-ups I had a Zodi propane shower. I tweaked and modded it a little bit to make it perform better.
- 69_AvionExplorerI boondock a lot and I don't like the cramped inside shower. I'm going to try one of those Camp Chef LP water heaters. This will work for me since I have about 34 gallons of outside water with a pump.

Hi, this one has its own pump and propane powered heater and is found in most sporting goods stores. Since your in Cali, they have them at sport chalet.

I used it to rinse the saltwater of after clamming and spear fishing. I took a piece of hose and drilled about 10 #40 holes in it to make a shower spray. I used the sprayer that came with it to rinse the sand of my feet before walking into the MH. That sprayer head uses much less water. The tank lasted all week.
- profdant139Explorer IIGjac, could you post some pictures? This sounds like a great idea. Thanks.
- LowsuvExplorerwe have had 3 of the black solar showers .
i configured a bracket to strap to a tree , and a 24 inch deck to stand on while showering .
we stopped using that a couple of years ago .
in a 21T komfort it just became too easy for the missus to shower in the tub .
i carry 3 extra 5 gallon water jugs from home and refill the fresh water tank .
we most often are without hookups of any kind .
one of the problems was that the solar shower got the water so hot that the missus didn't like it . and no good way to adjust the temp .
one of the drawbacks to a 9200# gvw diesel pickup towing a 7280# gvw trailer is that we can bring everything we want without going over on weight .
we "cube out " first .
