No RV Casino parking in Reno Nevada

Looks like Reno is once again enforcing the no overnight rv parking ban. They started this a few years ago but backed down when RV owners started boycotting Reno. Received this email today from my son who is on his way back to Oregon from Las Vegas.

"Made it to the Atlantis, but were promptly asked to leave by security. They were handing out tow notices citing some city ordinances about overnighting in rv's in Reno. Lucky for us Baldini's is in Sparks! Plus they have eggs, bacon and endless pancakes for 2.99. "

Just say no to Reno. Evidently they don't need our money.

    I realize that. But RV parks exist just fine. So why can't casino's declare the parking area 'Casino RV resort'? RV parks do not have to have hookups as many do not.

    mileshuff, the issue is not parking your RV. The issue is sleeping in the RV while it is parked.

    How do these city ordinances work? I can understand at shopping malls etc. but most casino's I've been to have a separate area strictly for RV's. Whats the difference between that area and say an RV park with no hookups? Can't the Casino simply call it an RV park?

    Not quite true.Try the Grand Sierra Resort & Casino(GSR). You can stay overnight (or longer if you choose) right in their own RV Park...I'm sure they would be happy to take your money.

    I'm sure there are casinos in other Nevada cities that want RVer's business (money). :)

    We will be passing through there in the next month or so. Don;t plan on leaving any of my money there.
