I would generally expect this to mean "far away from bathroom".
You were obviously unhappy with your stay, but from your post it's difficult to see how it's the campgrounds fault. Hills? Squirrels?
I checked out their site and it doesn't identify the terrain. Perhaps they should. But if it were my bad back and medical needs, I'd be sure to inquire when booking a site.
And if it were up to me (it isn't) we'd be a tent camping family. I love my Kiwi, but roughing it in a tent is real camping.
