Ocean Lakes?? Site 2178 scoop

I had reserved site 2178 at Ocean Lakes. Now I have got a new camper. It's 41'9" according to the manufacturer notes (camper wont be delivered until next week). My other option is site 4183 but there are trees and I don't know if they will be a complication given the height of the 5th wheel. Anyone at the campground that is willing to look at the sites and give me the scoop?

both of those site will be on busy on one side or the other of your camper.
4183 is on the main road and next to water fill up & USPS post office for campground homes. the 2178 site is right on the main road coming from the beach & along the beach, lots of golf cart traffic, foot traffic and beach traffic.IT will be very busy and on Friday and Saturday nights the gold cart parade will come right by that camp site.
Just a heads up, whats your timing looking like. Dead of summer? fall? spring break week? this can and will help you with a larger site. Dead of summer you are pretty much locked in. Call them and ask for something different.
Anything on 4000 section towards sites 4001 thru 4050 are larger sites and not all have concrete but most are larger and longer.
the early 3000 sections are larger and longer sites up thru 3040 or so.
anything along the wall by Myrtle beach resort are the longest and can be windy with the wind bouncing off the condo tower.
hope this helps.

We've seen security make people move sites if any part of camper is in the road. It makes it hard for the trash trucks to go up and down and you face a big risk of getting hit. Not to mention all the other campers that need to get around you. Use google maps to look at the site. The size given by OL is accurate. If you are too long you are too long. Move sites or you may face the unfortunate experience of being moved by OL staff to multiple sites during your stay.

How WIDE is the site. VERY often the site on the front row are so narrow, your awning almost hangs over the road

We have 2136 in August. When I reserved online, I put in a length of 43' I believe. 2136 is what it offered us.

Yes, its a different line than 2178 is but its in the same block.

Your rig will be to long for 2178. The site is 41' long and at 41'9" you will stick out in the road. Some don't think that matters but I saw one hit this past fall and another with damage where it was hit because it stuck out in the road only a little. Since that is an end spot you will be in a high traffic area.

I am not there now so can't help with 4183 but I do remember it is in a heavily treed area.

Probably better to just call the campground and ask them... I'm sure they would be glad to give you a better site description since you are already reserved to be there...
