Oscar Scherer State Park Florida Review, Lots of Pictures

Thanks for the info! we are there 8/27 8/28 pull thru p099 1/2 price for fl residents. We live nearby but must visit costco and trader joes to stock up while in Sarasota/osprey. Nakomis beach is another stop for us. thanks paul..

Thanks for the nice comments. I try to let my pictures provide most of the descriptions of the parks I visit.

Very nice review on a very nice park. I have been there twice, but not since the early 90's. My wife and daughter were swimming at that little pond/lake, and did see an alligator while they were there. My son and I were canoeing in another part of the park, where we saw plenty of alligators. That is pretty much the norm for Florida. :B

The bridge is still the same :) The road seemed wide enough for me to back into any spot.

We also like this park. Great location for day trips

We were just there this past Memorial Day. We enjoyed it and really liked the proximity of Nokomis Beach. Great sand and no where near as crowded as siesta key, but equally as nice. There were a few real nice sites right on the river that we can fit it for next time. We will go back.
