Overnight campground along I 80 in Nevada

Sorry so brief, working off a shaky 3G connection on my phone.

Need a recommendation for an overnight campground along I80 in Nevada (closer to the California border). We are departing Vernal, UT headed for Myers Flat, CA and need a place tomorrow night to easily pull in, stay hooked up, sleep, and get back on the road. I am pushing 60 ft all connected.

Hookups are appreciated, not required. Simplicity and ease are most important.

Thanks

Gold Ranch in Verdi is or favorite; right off the 80, easy in and out, gas, casino, restaurant.

Thanks for the correction; the place off Hirschdale Rd. East of Truckee is still called "Truckee River RV Park". It has been refurbished from a former United Trails park.

I am pretty sure you are mistaken. I am 180 miles EAST of California and in the state of Nevada.

Truckee is located in California.

The New Frontier RV park is in Winnemucca, Nevada (about 210 miles east of Truckee).

The park "MIGHT" have been refurbished, but I SERIOUSLY doubt it. It looks, smells, and advertises as brand new.

Thanks all. It was starting to get dark (had a late pull out due to a flat tire) and I didn't want to negotiate the Donner Pass in the dark.

We stumbled on this BRAND NEW RV park, New Frontier RV Park. Exit 180 off of I-80.

EVERYTHING is brand new, beautiful, and spacious. Granted, it is "parking lot" but for our needs (one night and go) it is a joy for sore eyes.

The bathouses look like they were "Cut and Pasted" from a high end hotel--stone floors and walls. Really a nice place. WiFi is great and most of all we were treated to a glorious sunset over the Nevada mountains.

We stayed 2 nights in Fernley, NV at Desert Rose RV Park. Very nice . All sights paved with FHU.

We have stayed at KOA at Boomtown which is just a few miles from Ca border. It's clean and the sites offer some space between RV's. It's just a short walk to casino, if that sort of thing appeals to you,and right next to a Chevron and Cabela's.

Near California you can camp at Gold Ranch (about a mile or two from California), Boomtown KOA (about four or five miles from California)or in Sparks near the marina. That would be around 12 miles from the border. All should be able to handle 60 feet and have hook ups. There is also an RV park at the Boca/Hirshdale interchange just inside California (Truckee River RV park) and about 18 miles west of Donner Summit at Cisco Grove. Lots of options. If you just want a rest area, there is one on top of Donner summit.

Good suggestions....X2.
