Overnite stop on the 101 olympic peninsula

Looking for an overnite stop on the north end of the 101 on the olympic peninsula. Between Port Angeles and Olympia. Preferably closer to port Angeles.

There is the walmart near port angeles, but last time we were there, there was too many drug deals going down.

No rest areas.

Camping is very pricey - we are on a budget.

Cant find a truck stop.

Any other ideas?
  • Try the airport "Rite Brothers Aviation" has a large parking lot, as does the terminal.
    There will be no services.
  • When you say no rest areas, does that mean you don’t want to stay at a rest area?

There is one that allows you to stay for 12 hours just north of Sequim.
There is also a Home Depot, and a casino that allow overnight parking.

  • What about the Dungeness Rec Area? It is just east of Port Angeles. Yes, it costs a little money!
  • Seven cedars casino. Free overnight,.... well COULD be free. lol
  • We love Salt Creek Campground. The dry area is tucked into the woods and is a great place to stay.
