PA to Fishing Bridge yellowstone. Overnight stops

we love cracker barrel, and a church in a nice area.

Looks like the Walmart in Sun Prairie (Madison) gets good reviews on the above site. A bit off the freeway (4 miles) but open 24 hours. If you click on WalyMart link, then scroll down to Sun Prairie you can read reviews of those who have parked there. There is also a Cracker Barrel in Madison.

From this end of PA you're looking at 32 hours (according to Google Maps) of pedal-to-the-metal driving in order to cover the approximately 2100 miles. That does not include rest stops, food stops, gas stops or the inevitable traffic tie-ups due to road construction or accidents. I'm going to presume you have a real narrow window in which to get out to Yellowstone, see the major attractions and get back home, in which case I can understand your motivation. JMHO here - you may be better served in the long run by inserting a day off the road somewhere in the trek out to YNP, especially if you have young'n's along. In any event, good luck & safe travels.

You'd better count on at least 4 days to get there unless you have help driving. Don't make planned stops now...just start driving and when you tire, stop. There are plenty of places for a one-night stop. You don't need reservations.

We were there in mid May from Pa. Lot's a great state parks along the way.Paid from $16 to $26.

I know it's a long drive and I've done 1 day long drives before. I know it's gonna suck lol. Kids are 16 and 18 and know what they are in for lol. We all just want to get there and spend the time there. Leaving to come home the 14th. So I'll pull over and nap along the way when needed and go.

It'll be slower paced on the way back. Have an extra day or 2 if I get "sick" lol. Also I know there are state parks but just going by PA state parks , it's a holiday weekend and your not gonna find a spot in one of them. Really all I need is somewhere to pull in in the dark and probably leave at the crack of dawn. Sleep a little and off ill go. Appreciate all the advice. For you pa people, how much did you pay in tolls going out to yellowstone?

There's a good Loves or Pilot maybe 40 miles over the border of Ill & WI. That was our first overnight. Try to leave so you don't hit Chicago at rush hour.
