Paradise by the Sea in Oceanside, CA

My wife and I are planning to visit the Oceanside, CA area for a month in March 2016. Someone recommended Paradise by the Sea RV Resort. Have any of you had any experience with this resort (good or bad) or any other resort within this area? Thanks in advance for any help that you may be able to give.

    Thanks, will check it.
  • San Onofre SB has a great many spaces available but no hookups. After camping there I found that many people overnight there and then drive to other places during the day. Your paid receipt allows you to go into any other SB without paying for the day use.
  • We were just there last week! Had very mixed feelings. Very nice place, nice staff, nice neighbors. We loved the close proximity to the beach, and being able to ride our bikes for several miles on pavement down past the pier. The big negative was the trains. Many, many, many trains each day. The short little commuter train runs by about every 30 minutes from 6am until 10 pm. They are tolerable and we were getting used to them by the end of the week. But between 10:30 pm and midnight several very long, very loud freight trains blast through. We were on the back row of the park and our Class A shook and vibrated! If you are on the back row the tracks are VERY close. Would we return? Probably. The beach calls us.

  • I'm glad you asked about this place. I've been looking for a place near San Onofre that has hook ups. I love San Onofre, but I'm in the mood for hook ups and O'side is close. I'll probably be able to report back for you before 2016.
  • Thanks for you quick response. I will be making reservations soon and your thoughts will help with my piece of mind.
  • We stayed there last year for a couple days. Nice place. Fairly quiet. Has a small spa with an adult only time in the evening. Restrooms very clean. Access to the beach is through a locked gate and a 1/4 mile walk. Great beach, too.

Railroad tracks are near and there is some traffic. However, we happen to like trains so that didnt't bother us a bit.
